181 and Counting

You are 181 days in – with 184 to go – before rolling into the new year. Yes, I said THE NEW YEAR. WHAT?

So this isn’t your usual “check your goals” blog that your inbox is probably filled with (mine was)- this is more important than that. It’s your EVERYTHING YES. What’s EVERTHING YES – it’s where life and business insect and connect!

Here are three super important things to make sure you integrate into your “goals” list for the remainder of the year and beyond…

Mind: What are you doing to feed your mind? This includes self-development, which is of critical importance, but also business development. What are your thoughts, ideas and mindset – and making sure they are all in alignment with your life. I’m currently reading Rachel Hollis’ “Girl, Stop Apologizing”. Great remimders in the self-development arena. But I’m also working my way through a business course – staying top of my game in my industry. Feeding your mind helps keep the positive mindset.

Body: What are you doing to feed your body? Yes, feed it. Healthy foods, exercise, fresh air, and getting plenty of rest. As you may know, I broke my kneecap about 2 months ago, and am finally on the mend – but I’ve put on some weight. It’s time to move, re-commit to gluten/dairy/sugar free. AND have a dry July. Yep – no alcohol for atleast 30 days. (Did i mention the number of pubs in Scotland?)

Spirit/Source: I believe in a higher power, something greater then myself. For me, that power is God. But whatever your spiritual beliefs, you must nurture them. Quiet time, silence & solitude – giving yourself time to listen, reflect and just BE. I landed in Scotland 2 days ago and have been down for the count – sick with the flu, fever and all. Yes, I heard it loud and clear… check out, just BE.

One of the biggest reasons, or maybe I should say THE 3 reasons I’m taking this journey/adventure in Scotland is to do the 3 things above. To dive deep feeding my mind – spending time reading, writing and learning. To recommit to my body – feeding and nurturing it on all levels. And Spirit. I connect with God daily, but to spend some time in quite solitude and reflection.

What are you going to do to incorporate mind, body and spirit into your goals? I’d love to hear! Hit reply – and let me know.
